It´s over when it´s over. I´m writing this post from Finland - we came home. What a journey, Japan.
2010. I remember the day we left Finland, it was rainy and cloudy. Exited to go somewhere, some place new. Having no idea what would come by.
First came Osaka with its millions of houses, trains, lights and - people.
Came lovely Kishibe-san, the first japanese we met. She helped us with everything. She did it for work, but at the end, it had nothing to do with work.. :) She understands me without words, she knows what I mean without explanation. It´s destiny, as she says.
Then came Nara, our lovely hometown with the biggest Buddha-statue in the world. Nara - easy, flat, green and comfortable. And the most important, then came my many friends. From the beginning, my dear neighbour, Nobuko-san, was my guide and gate to everywhere. Her heart is big and open for everyone. Arigatou gozaimasu otonari-san.
We saw the sun going down, we met the most kind japanese people. Our son was given tatami room to sleep and I was lead to taste of real green tea. I saw the most beautiful shrines and felt peace.
Having pot luck-parties with my dear friends, almost every Friday. Drinking, eating, having fun. Itsumo oishikatta to tanoshikatta!
Making new friends without same language, seeing places like never before, from cherry blossoms to bamboo forest.
Packing our bags and heading always when possible towards Hakuba. Sleeping in the best lodge ever, Powder Lodge.
6/2011. I feel so happy that my dear friend Yoko-san packed her whole family and came with us all the way to the airport to say goodbye.
Dear nihonjin tomodachi, I want to thank you all so much that I dont even have words for it. But I guess you all know my feelings.
Suomalaisille lukijoilleni iso kiitos blogini seuraamisesta. Niin hämmästyttävän moni täällä kävi (ja moni jätti puumerkkinsäkin, joista erityiskiitos). Kiitos. Jotain jatkuu täällä, mutta ei Japaniin liittyvää.
Toivon, että pääset joskus käymään Japanin ihmemaassa.
In the airplane, I cried.
Arigatou gozaimasu, isot kiitokset.
